With this construction the principle of the Foucault pendulum can be shown.

In the original Foucault pendulum, it can be observed that the plane over which a long pendulum swings seems to rotate with time. This phenomenon can be explained by the rotation of the earth. The set of instruments contains all the materials and descriptions for the construction of a Foucault pendulum.

The pulley is fixed in the pivot bearing long, which in turn is screwed to the connecting rod of the H-foot.

The long sleeve is fixed to the pulley. The round rod 750 mm is screwed into it.

The short sleeve is fixed to the 750 mm rod. The rod 250 mm is inserted into the socket. The ring with hooks is then attached to the rod. The hook carries the pendulum, consisting of a cord loop and a pendulum ball (e.g. the one made of aluminium).
