Training Stand VW Dualzone Climatronic
with Refrigerant R1234yf and Auxiliary Heating

Item No.: 41936

On this training stand, original parts and components of the Dualzone Climatronic from Volkswagen were used. The arrangement is the same as in the vehicle. The connections of all function-relevant sensors and actuators as well as the control units and components of the cooling circuit are connected according to the original circuit diagram as in the vehicle. This allows working with original manufacturer documents and circuit diagrams. The connections of the original components are easily accessible or exposed.

Standard workshop diagnostic systems can be connected via the OBD interface. This allows access to all installed ECUs and ensures options such as basic settings of actuators, actuator diagnostics and the readout of measured value blocks. Up to 12 student measuring stations can be connected via a further interface. This ensures that measurement exercises can be carried out with larger groups to measure with the multimeter or oscilloscope and thus determine the values and different signals.

In addition, the system has a thermal circuit, which is equipped with an electric heater. This circuit simulates the engine cooling circuit. This makes it possible to create realistic operating conditions in order to obtain measured values from the dual-zone control system for diagnostics. An integrated and lockable fault circuit with eleven practical faults allows various components to be manipulated to perform troubleshooting. One pressure gauge each for the high and low pressure sides is used to illustrate pressures under various load conditions. Additionally, connections for the use of maintenance stations are installed. The maintenance ports allow connection to air conditioning maintenance equipment. This allows the extraction, cleaning, evacuation and filling of the system with the refrigerant "R1234yf" to be demonstrated and practiced in a simple manner.

For fault-free continuous operation, the air-conditioning compressor is driven by a 3.6 kW 400 volt three-phase motor and speed-controlled by a frequency converter. The on-board power supply is provided by a stabilized 12 volt 40 amp switching power supply. The emission-free drive enables operation in training rooms.
