Training Stand Energy Management for Off-grid Systems
Training Stand S8+

Item No.: 33327

While the use of photovoltaics has so far consisted of feeding electricity into the grid, the legal requirements of the EU and the German government on climate protection and "renewable energy use" are increasingly leading to the self-use of solar power with battery storage systems.

The grid-controlled systems with battery storage offered by the industry for this purpose make these plans possible very efficiently.

With the Training Stand S8 - Energy Management for Grid-Connected Systems, Christiani offers a practical experimental system, which makes all technical processes of these systems accessible and measurable for the training of specialists.

A disadvantage of these battery supported photovoltaic systems is the lack of an emergency power function in case of a grid disturbance. The Training Stand S8+ - Energy Management for Off-grid Systems is therefore an important addition to the Training Stand S8 - Energy Management for Grid-Connected Systems, which especially enables the necessary emergency power function (UPS = Uninterruptible Power Supply) for the standardised battery supported, grid-controlled solar power supply.

  • System understanding of the differences between solar power supply systems of pure grid parallel operation, grid controlled and battery supported solar power supplies and stand-alone power supply systems with UPS function.
  • Knowledge of the circuit variants of these three basic system solutions of solar power systems.
  • Knowledge and expertise of the safety solutions of solar power systems in UPS and stand-alone operation.
  • Knowledge and ability to assess and implement the safety and efficiency of self-sufficient solar power supplies using measurement techniques.
  • Abilities to plan, install, expand, operate and maintain grid-controlled and autarkic solar power systems with battery storage.
  • Judgement and solution understanding for the energy management of grid controlled and autarkic solar power systems.
  • Inverter for autonomous island operation
  • 2 solar batteries (type AGM, 100 Ah each), 12 V
  • Energy management system with intelligent interconnection
  • For isolated operation (off-grid) and grid connection (on-grid) - Priority programmable
  • Automatic synchronization with the mains (UPS)
