Compact Model Heating Control

Compact table-top model with 6 different exchangeable plates (and optionally 2 additional exchangeable plates) for simulating different plant schemes.

Basic module consisting of:

• Oil/gas boiler with space heating and domestic hot water heating.

Further modules (among others):

• 2 heating circuits (1 of which is a mixing circuit for underfloor heating)
• 2 mixing circuits and solar thermal
• 2 mixed circuits with buffer storage tank, solid fuel boiler and solar thermal system
• 1 heating circuit with buffer tank and solid fuel boiler

The behaviour of the controlled systems is simulated via potentiometers.

The didactic documents are an essential part of the compact model heating control.

The didactic documents describe the connection of the respective controller to the compact model and the practical reference of the compact model to real heating systems via practical tasks.

The design of the documents is methodically and didactically oriented to ensure that:

• complex control processes can be understood in a meaningful way
• the focus is on experimental procedures for connecting the controller according to the system diagram and connection plan
• questions on the evaluation lead to an understanding of control processes
