Training Stand Geothermal Heat Source or Underfloor Heating
Training Stand S1

Item No.: 82125

Both in the electrical and HVAC crafts, more emphasis must be placed on teaching renewable energy technologies in initial and continuing vocational training. The demand for efficient and optimised process design applies to teaching and learning concepts as well as to all energy-related applications! For the methodology and didactics of learning processes, action-oriented concepts in particular meet these requirements.

For this reason, Christiani offers training stands developed for vocational training, which enable an optimal professional qualification in the field of solar thermal and heat pump technology with electro-technical and hydraulic expertise!

These training stands can be combined in different ways, depending on the training objective. The S1 training stand can only be used in conjunction with other training stands.

Pedagogic requirements

  • Maximum learning efficiency from closely linking theory and the practical side of the subject with hands-on learning processes
  • The contents of learning must be made "graspable" in both meanings of the word
  • To avoid any waste of time in the learning organisation, all learning processes have to provided at the place of learning in a qualified and optimised manner, and the system technology must be designed for practical applications such that these processes can be realised in a mutually complementing way
  • This calls for "integrated specialist classrooms" where both theory and the practical side of the area of technology concerned can be mediated
  • The efficiency in conveying the knowledge and findings is part of the balanced concept which includes written information and exercises organised using modern media techniques, PC workplaces, experimental, laboratory and demonstration equipment to practice on
  • All learning processes are designed in the context of "complete action" with the problem assignment (job, information), conditional analysis (analysis of the knowledge relevant to the organisation, planning), project realisation (execution, realisation, test record) and transfer (documentation, assuring the results, testing)
  • The training stands S1 and S2 can be operated as energy source or energy sink. The heating circuit reversal is achieved with the two ball valves 1 or 2! The Polucom heat flow meter (WMZ) records the heating or extraction capacity for water volumes of approx. 1500 m³/h, the energy, the flow rate and the supply or return temperature.
  • By filling with specific water temperatures, different source temperatures can be simulated for the brine circuit of a heat pump. When filled with water, the 200 litre container can store or release up to 10 kWh of heat energy. Three heating circuits with different lengths in this water container offer corresponding pressure losses which cause different flow rates at the tacosetters and can be adjusted by throttle screws.
  • The system can also be used without water filling, in order to demonstrate very quickly the temperature reduction in the source function for a heat pump, or to demonstrate in a heating circuit the consequences of reduced heat consumption in a heat pump heating system, e.g. the high pressure fault.
  • The system circuits of the training stands S1 and S2 are filled with a water-glycol mixture, so that the use as energy sink or energy source is possible without any risk!
  • Filling and checking the necessary concentration in the brine circuit (heating circuit) can be practiced here as well as the professional connection of the circulation pump and the balancing of the individual heating circuits!
  • Understanding of system technical conditions of heat pump heating systems and solar thermal systems.
  • Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and control engineering operating conditions using the example of a heat pump heating system or a solar thermal system.
  • Knowledge of the physical processes in the cooling circuit of a heat pump.
  • Systematic action for commissioning a heat pump heating system or a solar thermal system.
  • Abilities for action-oriented planning, installation and commissioning of heat pump and solar thermal heating systems.
  • Ability to prepare test reports on heat pump heating systems and solar thermal systems.
  • Ability to measure and evaluate electrical and hydraulic processes using heat pump and solar thermal systems as examples.
  • Understanding of energy optimisation processes in heating systems with heat pumps and solar thermal systems.
  • Knowledge of the terms and operating resources of heat pump and solar thermal systems.
  • Ability to assess electrical and hydraulic measured values in heat pump heating systems and to plan process changes based on these values.
  • Understanding of the control and energy optimisation of circulating pumps in heating systems.
  • Competence for the optimisation of energetic processes in heating systems.
  • Initial training / apprenticeships:
    • Plant mechanic Sanitation
    • Electrical engineer for energy and building services engineering (formerly: electrician)
  • Continuing education:
For further training measures in renewable energies and SHK for the fields of heat pumps and solar thermal energy, e.g. for further training qualifications:
    • Solar technician
    • Specialist for solar technology
    • Solar thermal specialist
    • Heat pump specialist
    • Solar consultant
    • etc.
  • For company and inter-company training centres

    • The experiment manual consists of:

      • Theoretical part (basics, description of the training system)

      • Test descriptions (structure of the tests)

      • Task sheets

      • Solutions

  • Experimental manual not included in the scope of delivery of the training stand S1 and cannot be ordered separately.

  • Dimensions (W/D/H in mm): approx. 1.000 x 800 x 1.980
  • Weight: approx. 80 kg
