Bevel Gear Unit
Cutaway Model

Item No.: 54740

Experience the theory of gear technology here. Our functional section model clearly shows how the components inside a bevel gearbox interact with each other and how a gearbox functions.

By means of handwheels on the cutaway models, we would like to show the interaction of different gearings and the resulting power flows (angular gear 90°) and gear ratios.

Each cutaway model has a nameplate that shows the most important data, so calculations can also be implemented with it, such as calculations of the gear ratios and speeds.

Optionally, the cutaway models can be stowed and stored in case systems, type TANOS (T-Loq), so that they are kept safe. The gear models have been developed exclusively for didactic use.

  • i=97.81 (3-stage)
  • Gear unit type: Gear unit with cover on input side and handwheel.
  • Function: Explanation of different gearings and operating principle of a standard SEW bevel gear unit.
  • Mechanical components such as gears, pinion shafts and taper roller bearings, are protected by a high-quality coating to prevent corrosion.
  • Individual parts are also made of stainless steel.
  • Cut edges of the gearbox color-coded (yellow). Gearbox housing specially painted for exhibits. The gearbox is already mounted on an aluminum plate with carrying handles and four rubberized feet, so that the model can be transported and set up safely.
  • System is designed for educational use only. Not suitable for filling with lubricants and also not suitable for operation in realistic applications.
