The aim of this textbook is to make the reader understand the interrelationships of the topics without discussing the mathematical relationships in detail. It is intended to appeal to a wide circle of readers (e.g. skilled workers, technicians, engineers, etc.) who, after studying this textbook, can easily design a pneumatic and vacuum system. In addition, the basic concepts of control and regulation technology are dealt with, without however going into the complicated mathematical considerations. The book was adapted to the current standard DIN EN 81346-2 in the labelling of components.
