3rd edition 2013, 165 pages

The training course "Mechanical Materials Processing - Milling Part" deals with the machining production processes of milling in accordance with the training framework plans for metal professions (Lfd. No. 12 c "Milling"). The different milling processes such as face milling, peripheral face milling, face-circumferential face milling, and longitudinal profile milling are dealt with in detail. A further emphasis is placed on the milling machines and their functions as well as the professional operation, testing and setting of the machine functions. Furthermore the tools and the alignment and clamping of tools and workpieces are described.

In 12 practical exercises, each with work information, parts lists and work planning forms as well as control and evaluation sheets, the project "Drill rig" is dealt with. The exercises are structured according to the guide text method and follow the model of the complete action. They are therefore particularly conducive to action and social competence. The exercises can be worked on both individually and in groups. The complete course consists of the Trainer's Guide, the slides, the text volume, sample solutions and the documents for the trainee.
