In the housing, a certain number of diodes were connected to form a unit according to the required illuminance and the desired light colour. The probability of failure of the overall function is minimized by this multiple configuration. Advantages: LED's consume considerably less power, reach their maximum luminosity after approx. 2 milliseconds and have a service life of approx. 10000 hours.

Demonstration:

  • Connection to a 12 Volt mains supply using the black and red sockets
  • Actuating the flashing light (green button)
  • Operating the brake light (green button)
  • Operating the rear light (green button)
  • Measurement of the current flowing in each case with the aid of the bridge
