The Automatic Storage and Retrival System (ASRS) consists of a rack and the associated ASRS operating device, which are mounted together on two assembly platforms. The workpieces to be stored are supplied - for instance by a manipulator - and transferred to the ASRS operating device and stored in the rack. The workpieces can also be removed from storage in the opposite order. In total, there are 28 available storage spaces. For storing the workpieces and for removing them from storage, a double-acting pneumatic cylinder is available. The operating pressure is 4 bar.

Function module as a Manufacturing Kit

The Function module assembly is supplied as a kit with unprocessed material including accessories. For the Function module, the mechanical processing (partly by machine) must be carried out according to the specifications of the mMS media centre before further project steps can be started.
