Christiani Industry Model Compact Checking Station
with Punching Machine

Stand Alone Model
Item No.: 14806

The model Compact Checking Station with Punchin Machine simulates a handling device to detect work pieces with following machining, as used for example in production of metal cutting industries.

The Compact Checking Station with Punch consists of a conveyor belt, a reading unit and a punch machine. The simulated process shows coded work pieces, transported by a conveyor belt through a reading unit which is equipped with two adjoined Reed switches, identified and transported to the punch machine. Depending on the code on the work piece the punch machine simulates different machining cycles. The code on the work piece is presented by a different number of magnets on the top appropriated in two rows. The work piece has to be put on the conveyor belt by hand. When pressing the start button the conveyor belt starts running. The conveyor transports the work piece trough the reading station where the code is identified by two Reed switches during the flow.

The conveyor belt stops when the work piece receives the punch. Depending on the detected code, different machining programs will be carried out. The machining process is indicated by a lamp. Afterwards the conveyor starts again and the work piece is pushed out. After a certain time the conveyor belt stops and the operating sequence is finished and can be started again.
