Christiani Industry Model Conveyor Belts
with Distance Measuring System

Stand Alone Model
Item No.: 14808

The model Conveyor Belt simulates a conveyor for unit loads, which is fixed on upright standards, as used for example to cover long distances in interior logistical systems of a factory.

The model consists of three conveyor belts with incremental distance measuring systems. The incremental distance measuring systems are realized as belt driven cam wheels, giving a switching pulse each turn. The simulated process shows a part being laid onto the first conveyor belt and the being transported to the end of the last one:

After the transport good is inserted, operating a switch starts the first conveyor belt. The distance measuring system registries reaching the end of the belt and activates the drive of the second belt to take over and continue transports. The transfer between the second and the third belt occurs in the same manner. A one way light barrier is in addiction to the distance measuring system attached to the third belt in order to enable counting the parts.
