Training Board Lighting Technology LED

Item No.: 54757

The training board set Lighting Technology with LED is designed to teach the basics of LED technology and expands our existing extensive product range for lighting technology.

Note: The matching experiment instructions must be ordered separately.

Our products are designed for the European market and meet CE requirements. For international use, regional regulations apply which must be observed. The usability of the products shown must therefore be checked in advance.

Lighting Technology

The training board Basic LED allows the use of common LED lamps with the lampholder types GU10, GU 5.3, GX53, E14 and E 27.

By using standardized sockets, the LED lamps can be easily exchanged. Thus, the operation of LED lamps of different manufacturers and operating parameters is possible.

  • Measurement of current, power and light distribution
  • Current measurement at 12 V LED, onboard
  • Temperature measurement switchable, onboard

The 230 V lamps can be operated with 4 mm safety jumper plugs. Current measurements with a standard multimeter are possible.

  • Practical measurements with commercially available measuring instruments
  • Clear arrangement of the equipment
  • Ideally suited for testing purposes
  • Interchangeable 230 V LED lamp and 12 V LED lamp
  • Commercially available equipment
  • 4-mm safety sockets for 230 Volt wiring
  • 2-mm low voltage sockets for 12 Volt

To carry out experiments, the trainig board is placed on the table or hung in an A4 experiment rack for demonstration.

The following topics and practical basic experiments can be carried out:

  • Basics about LEDs
  • Investigation of control circuits: voltage-, constant current source, PWM, LED on AC voltage
  • LED red, yellow, green
  • Bright and ultra-bright light emitting diodes
  • 3 mm LEDs, 2 colors LED
  • Flashing LED
  • Infrared LED
  • RGB LED
  • Display LEDs
  • 10 mm LED

These commercially available LEDs are an important part of the extensive basic experiments.

Pulse width modulation measurement (PWM):

  • 12 V LED matrix array with adjustable 12 V pulse width modulation
  • Changing the PWM frequency, to investigate the optimal drive frequency. Control channels can be switched off individually. Frequency measurements via three BNC sockets.
  • Current measurement at the PWM; display of the PWM on the oscilloscope.
  • Use of different glass attachments to make color change, luminous intensity, beam angle and light temperature visible.
  • Mains connection:
  • Mains voltage: 230 AC / 115 V AC (110 V AC)**
  • Mains frequency: 50 - 60 Hz
  • Power consumption: approx. 10 VA
  • Pulse width modulation:
  • Operating voltage: 12 V DC
  • Base and lamps upper area:
  • Attention! Operating voltage: 230 V
  • Integrated measuring device:
  • Current range: 0 - 100 mA
  • Temperature measurement: 10 -1000 C
