The student power supply unit AC / DC (stabilised) 1-14 V DC in 12 steps - 6 / 12 V AC is a handy and easy-to-use power supply unit for use in class. It can be used to generate a stabilised DC voltage. The output voltages can be set between 1 V and 10 V in 1 V steps and between 10 and 14 V in 2 V steps. It supplies a continuous current of 6 A at all DC output voltages, which may also rise to 8 A for short periods (less than 1 h). Above 8 A, the output voltage is regulated down (current limitation).

In addition, the power supply unit has an AC output of 6 V and 12 V with a maximum of 1.5 A. This output can be used simultaneously with the DC output. This output can be used simultaneously with the DC output.

The output voltage is shown digitally on an illuminated display. The power supply unit is easy to transport thanks to the practical handle.

A switching power supply with a safety transformer is used in the student power supply unit to generate the DC voltage. This ensures galvanic isolation. The design prevents pupils from coming into contact with live components through the ventilation openings - even with pointed objects. The sockets are designed as safety sockets. Experiment cables with 4 mm safety plugs as well as those with 4 mm banana plugs can be used.

The maximum output voltage can be limited with a 3 mm Allen key (included in delivery). Voltages between two levels can also be set. This can prevent damage to the experimental setup due to an impermissibly high output voltage.
